Sometimes, God speaks through the most unexpected moments — even a Facebook scroll.
Leah and I had known each other for over 20 years. Life had taken us down different paths, but we were still connected through Facebook. Both of us were single at the time, each carrying our own stories of heartache and healing.
One evening, I was scrolling aimlessly through Facebook when I came across a song Leah had posted — one I had never heard before: “Nobody Loves Me Like You Love Me, Jesus” by Chris Tomlin. I clicked play, and within moments, I was moved to tears. After losing my wife to cancer just a year earlier, that song hit a place deep inside me I hadn’t even realized needed healing. It reminded me that I wasn’t alone. That Jesus still loved me. That His grace was still enough.
So I did what people do — I “hearted” the post and left a comment, sharing how much it had encouraged me.
A few days later, I shared a song on my page. Little did I know, Leah had never heard it before — and it spoke to her in the exact same way. She reacted to it just like I had to hers.
That was the spark.
Two hearts, healing through worship.
Two souls, reconnecting through the very songs that carried us through the toughest seasons of our lives.
It wasn’t dramatic. It wasn’t flashy. It was just... God. Quietly reminding us that He never leaves, never forsakes, and always has a plan — even in the middle of grief.
Our relationship began with shared songs of hope — and that’s still the melody we live by today.
