Meet the Tipton7

We are the Tipton7 — a blended family full of faith, love, resilience, and purpose.

Our journey began through both heartbreak and healing. In 2018, our world was shaken when my wife passed away from cancer. I was left with three beautiful children — Cooper, Anna Kate, and Ava Klaire. It was one of the hardest seasons of our lives, but through our faith in God and the unwavering support of our family, we found strength to move forward.

In 2020, God brought someone incredibly special into our lives — Leah, a woman of grace, strength, and deep faith. With her came her two wonderful children, Kate and Liam. Together, we became a family of seven. We often reflect on how the number 7 — a number of completion and divine perfection in the Bible — seems to describe us well. We’re not perfect, but we are whole.

Blending a family is not without challenges — we've walked through hills and valleys, faced tough days and tearful moments. But we hold tightly to this truth: what God has joined together, nothing can separate.

About Devonn

I’m Devonn Tipton, officially David Devonn Tipton III, but everyone knows me as Devonn. I serve as the Discovery Lab Instructor at Grenada Elementary School 3–5, where I lead a vibrant STEM program for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students. The Discovery Lab is an innovative space packed with microscopes, robots, and hands-on science tools — all part of Project Lead The Way, a national effort to bring dynamic STEM education into the classroom.

Outside the classroom, I’ve also served as the Minister of Music at The Pentecostals of Grenada for over 20 years. Music is a vital part of our worship, and it’s an honor to lead others into God’s presence each week through song and praise.

About Leah

Leah is the heart of our home. She’s a full-time, stay-at-home mom — a job that requires grace, patience, and superhero-level multitasking when caring for a family of seven. She’s a phenomenal cook, a devoted follower of Jesus, and an active member of our church where she sings on the praise team and serves others with joy.

Together, we are the Tipton7 — united not by perfection, but by grace. Every day we strive to live out love, serve with purpose, and walk by faith. Thank you for being a part of our journey.
